FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I place an order?
Submit an inquiry with your preferred size, event date, and design direction. My calendar opens on the 1st of each month for the following month (for example, on July 1, booking opens for August). Once we've confirmed the details, you'll receive a quote. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of receiving your quote to secure your order. The remaining balance is due one week before pickup or delivery.
How far in advance should I order?
To ensure availability and adequate planning, I require at least two weeks’ notice for all orders. For larger or custom event cakes, I recommend reserving your date at least one month in advance.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable, as they secure your date and production time. If you need to reschedule, I’ll do my best to accommodate based on availability.
Do you recreate cakes exactly?
Feel free to send inspiration for designs, however no cake will be copied exactly the same.
Do you cater to dietary restrictions?
My kitchen processes eggs, gluten, nuts, & dairy, therefore I am unable to cater to dietary restrictions.
What do you use to fill and cover cakes?
My cakes are usually filled and covered with Swiss meringue buttercream. I do not work with fondant or sugar paste.
How long does the cake stay fresh?
For best taste and texture, the cake should be consumed within 2–3 days. Leftovers can be frozen for up to 2 months. Wrap each slice tightly in cling film and store in an airtight container or ziplock bag before freezing.
Are fresh flowers included?
Floral styling is available as an add-on. Pricing starts at $45 and varies depending on the design and coverage. All flowers are sourced specifically for your cake.
Are the flowers on the cake edible?
Flowers are not edible and are primarily for decoration. They must be carefully fully removed before serving. All stems are wrapped with floral tape to protect the cake. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept the risk associated with fresh floral decorations on cakes.
Can my florist decorate the cake?
Due to food safety reasons, only Sweet Cin is permitted to decorate the cake. I am happy to work with your florist to have them supply the florals for the cake prior to the event.
Do you offer delivery?
Pickup is available on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Delivery may be available for larger or event orders within NYC and is priced based on distance and setup needs. You may use Uber Courier or a delivery service for pickup, however please note that once the cake leaves my hands, I am not responsible for any damage or issues during transport.

Prior to serving, bring cake back to room temperature. Unless delivery is organized, we are not responsible for any damage to your cake after the cake has left our premises. Please do not leave cakes or cupcakes in direct heat or inside a hot vehicle.
